Time Server NTS-5000

The
NTS–5000 Network Time Server
NTP provides a high precision time directly to TCP/IP
networks using
NTP (Network Time Protocol).
The Time Server synchronizes time of any NTP clients running on remote PC’s. It supports both
NTP (RFC 1305) and SNTP (RFC 2030) clients
for most of current popular operating systems including:
Microsoft
Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2K/XP/Vista, Linux, FreeBSD, HPUX,
IBM AIX, IBM AS/400, SUN MAC OS-X and other UNIX family systems.
This Time Server can synchronize simultaneously thousands of
computers
and routers, including all CISCO product.
The NTS–5000 time server ideally suited for delivering systemwide
for NASD brokers, financial institutions, network
security, ecommerce
and B2B transactions. It supports official timestamps (RFC
3161*)
and it can operate in NTP authentication mode protected
by MD5 algorithms. The NTS-5000 time server unit supports
broadcast, manycast, multicast and passive client/server
mode of time synchronization.
NTS-5000 delivers time directly to LAN network using NTP protocol. It is equipped with two
independent Ethernet ports working with TCP/IP protocol (IPv4, IPv6). Satellite GPS signal is the standard server time pattern, but UTC time can be
simultaneously drawn from other sources including DCF77*, Galileo**, external caesium beam such as 5071A or other external satellite receivers: Egnos***,
Glonass*** and Waas ***. For this purpose, NTS-5000 has a number of extra synchronising ports including 1PPS, IRIG-B, IBM Sysplex and RS232C. The server is equipped with two A/B antennas,
each receiving a number of GPS, Galileo** and DCF77* signals simultaneously; all time sources work in a fully redundant mode. Built-indouble oscillators RUBIDIUM and OCXO guarantee correct time keeping up to one year of work when both antennas are missing.
A true novelty is an option to create cascade NTS servers where one can simulate an antenna for the other. This functionality enables time synchronisation of secured LANs with official time NTP
servers available publicly online in Internet and the development of secured LAN systems for remote time auditing and control.
NTS-5000
synchronises time monotonously (jump-free). NTS-5000 is applied in systems of automatic data backup systems and multi-server environments. It protects chronology in
SYSLOG reports and database LOG files. It generates official timestamps used for electronic signature, billing systems and e-business applications. This device is ready for continuous operation 24h/ day and is
able to provide simultaneous synchronization up to 10000 NTP clients.
